Attainment Scholarships worth £1500 for each year of study are available to all applicants (home and international) attaining outstanding entry qualifications for full time undergraduate programmes within Chemistry, Computer Science, Earth & Ocean Science, Electrical Engineering & Electronics, Engineering and Physics. Paid to recipients on a semester basis, these scholarships will be available for each year of study, so long as the recipient achieves and maintains a minimum average of 70 per cent in examinations at each level of study. From the 2007/08 session onwards, students whose entry qualifications were not strong enough for the award of an Attainment Scholarship in their first year will be able to obtain an Attainment Scholarships in any academic year subsequent to an a year of study in which they achieve an overall minimum average of 70 per cent in their University examinations. To be eligible for these attainment scholarships, applicants must achieve the equivalent of grades AAB in UK A levels.
