Exchange students are part of an cooperative agreement with theUniversity of Groningen and their own university. Therefore, tuitonfees for the courses at the University of Groningen are reimbursedthrough your own university. However, living costs have to be financedby the students. Inform at the international office of your universityto find out if your university has an exchange-agreement with theUniversity of Groningen.
For advanced students from universities from the EU, Iceland,Norway, Liechtenstein, Turkey, Romania and Bulgaria that have anExchange agreement with the University of Groningen, the University ofGroningen offers the Socrates/Erasmus scholarship.
Bachelor's programmes
Reimbursement of tuition fee for EU-students! Studentsfrom EU countries are also entitled to get a (partly) reimbursement oftheir tuition fees. Besides, they are entitled to get other studygrants subsidized by the EU. For more information, check this website.
The HSP Huygens programme is open to students fromall countries of the world. It is aimed at talented students who wantto come to the Netherlands in the final phase of their bachelor'sstudies or during their master's studies. Federal Family Education Loan Program (FFELP)
The FFELP is a federal education loan program designed to helpstudents pay their educational expenses by supplementing the amount thestudent or student's family is able to contribute to education costs.The loans within FFELP include Stafford Loans (subsidized andunsubsidized). The University of Groningen is certified by the USDepartment of Education and is therefore eligible to participate in theUnited States Federal Family Eductation Loan Program. School code:021896.
