LOCAL INSTITUTION
Open Learning Institute of TAFE (OLI)
The Faculty offers Merit Scholarships for high-achieving Diploma graduates of Open Learning Institute of TAFE (OLI), who have been given places in the Bachelor of Business course at Queensland University of Technology. Half of the first semester’s fees (AUD4000) will be paid by the Scholarship. Two Scholarships are available for study commencing Semester 2, 2006. Scholarship selection will be based on academic achievement, information provided in the application for admission, and recommendations from OLI. Students will be awarded Scholarships by a selection process within the Faculty of Business. Students do not need to apply for these Scholarships. Students must meet all the conditions of their offer before the Scholarship can be confirmed. Students should have received an offer of direct admission into their Bachelor of Business course by 30 May 2006 for Semester 2, 2006 Scholarships. Students should therefore lodge completed applications for admission, together with all necessary supporting documentation, at least four weeks prior to these dates.
OVERSEAS INSTITUTIONS
Hong Kong
The Faculty offers Merit Scholarships for high-achieving Associate Degree graduates of a recognised Hong Kong institution who have been given places in the Bachelor of Business course at Queensland University of Technology. Half of the first semester’s fees (AUD4000) will be paid by the Scholarship. To receive these Scholarships, applicants must have achieved an overall Grade Point Average of 5.5 (calculated on the QUT 7-point scale) or better in their Associate Degree. There is no limit on the number of Scholarships available. All those who meet the selection requirements will receive an award. No separate application is required. Students must meet all the conditions of their offer before the Scholarship can be confirmed. These Merit Scholarships are available for students who commence their Bachelor of Business course in the Faculty of Business in 2006.
Hong Kong Institute of Vocational EducationThe Faculty offers Merit Scholarships for high-achieving Higher Diploma graduates of Hong Kong Institute of Vocational Education who have been given places in the Bachelor of Business course at Queensland University of Technology. Half of the first semester’s fees (AUD4000) will be paid by the Scholarship. To receive these Scholarships, applicants must have achieved an overall Grade Point Average of 5.5 (calculated on the QUT 7-point scale) or better in their Higher Diploma. There is no limit on the number of Scholarships available. All those who meet the selection requirements will receive an award. No separate application is required. Students must meet all the conditions of their offer before the Scholarship can be confirmed. These Merit Scholarships are available for students who commence their Bachelor of Business in the Faculty of Business in 2006.
INTI College, Indonesia
The Faculty offers Merit Scholarships for high-achieving students of INTI College Indonesia who have been given places in the Bachelor of Business course at Queensland University of Technology for 2006. Half of the first semester’s fees (AUD4000) will be paid by the Scholarship. To receive these Scholarships, applicants must have achieved an overall Grade Point Average of 5.5 (calculated on the QUT 7-point scale) or better in their INTI program. There is no limit on the number of Scholarships available. All those who meet the selection requirements will receive an award. No separate application is required. Students must meet all the conditions of their offer before the Scholarship can be confirmed. These Merit Scholarships are available for students who commence their Bachelor of Business in the Faculty of Business in 2006.
INTI College, Malaysia
The Faculty offers Merit Scholarships for high-achieving students of INTI College Malaysia who have been given places in the Bachelor of Business course at Queensland University of Technology for 2006. Half of the first semester’s fees (AUD4000) will be paid by the Scholarship. To receive these Scholarships, applicants must have achieved an overall Grade Point Average of 5.5 (calculated on the QUT 7-point scale) or better in their INTI program. There is no limit on the number of Scholarships available. All those who meet the selection requirements will receive an award. No separate application is required. Students must meet all the conditions of their offer before the Scholarship can be confirmed. These Merit Scholarships are available for students who commence their Bachelor of Business in the Faculty of Business in 2006.
Singapore
The Faculty offers Merit Scholarships for high-achieving Diploma graduates of Polytechnics who have been given places in the Bachelor of Business course at Queensland University of Technology for 2006. Half of the first semester’s fees (AUD4000) will be paid by the Scholarship. To receive these Scholarships, applicants must have achieved an overall Grade Point Average of 5.5 (calculated on the QUT 7-point scale) or better in their Polytechnic Diploma. There is no limit on the number of Scholarships available. All those who meet the selection requirements will receive an award. No separate application is required. Students must meet all the conditions of their offer before the Scholarship can be confirmed. These Merit Scholarships are available for students who commence their Bachelor of Business in the Faculty of Business in 2006.
Thailand
The Faculty offers Merit Scholarships for high-achieving undergraduate degree graduates of Thailand Universities who have been given places in the BS93 Master of Business or BS33 Master of Business Advanced at Queensland University of Technology. Half of the first semester’s fees (AUD4250) will be paid by the Scholarship. To receive these Scholarships, applicants must have achieved an overall Grade Point Average of 5.8 (calculated on the QUT 7-point scale) or better in their undergraduate degree. There is no limit on the number of Scholarships available. All those who meet the selection requirements will receive an award. No separate application is required. Students must meet all the conditions of their offer before the Scholarship can be confirmed. These Merit Scholarships are available for students who commence their BS93 or BS33 program in the Faculty of Business in 2006.
