2005-06 Tuition Fee Scholarships forInternational Undergraduate Students
The School of Information Technology and Electrical Engineering at The University of Queensland offersup to 8 Full or Half Scholarships into Bachelor of Engineering (ComputerSystems, Electrical or Software), Bachelor of Information Technology, Bachelorof Science (Computer Science), or Bachelor of Multimedia Design programs. Thesescholarships cover tuition fees for up to two years for Undergraduate/Honoursprograms.
The value of these scholarships for 2006are up to AU$11,600.00 per semester to AU$46,400.00 maximum for fullscholarships, and up to AU$5,800.00 per semester to a maximum of AU$23,200.00for half Scholarships. The awards are subject to satisfactory achievementeach semester. There are no bonding conditions attached to theseScholarships.

- Bachelor of Engineering - Electrical, Computer Systems or Software.
- Bachelor of Information Technology/Bachelor of Multimedia Design
- Bachelor of Science (Computer Science)
Recent Diploma graduates (within 3 years)from overseas institutions, or other partially completed programs that qualifyfor advanced standing towards the UQ degrees in Engineering and Information Technology.

What are the Selection Criteria?
The Selection Criteria for thesescholarships are based on two main areas of achievement:
- Academic achievement as demonstrated by an excellent academic record.
- Leadership potential as demonstrated by non academic pursuits such as high profile sport activities, participation in and leadership of ex-curricula organisational activities, such as societies, charities etc.
All Scholarship applications are to be madeby completing the onlineform and submitting required .pdf attachments. These documentsinclude a full CV with both e-mail and postal addresses, a certified academicrecord of marks or grades from your home institution, and a separate statementthat addresses the two selection criteria as outlined above. Applicantsshould also supply two (2) references that support their applications in theleadership criteria.
You should have also submitted anInternational Student Applicationfor Undergraduate Studies to The University of Queensland or to anauthorised InternationalEducational Representative in your home country. There is nointerview for the scholarship. The closing date for receipt of all applicationsis 1st December of the year preceding intended arrival at the University of Queensland.

When are the Scholarships announced?
All applicants will be notified as to theoutcome of their application by approximately one month after the closing dateof applications.
