ISA Educational Foundation Scholarships are awarded to college or university students who demonstrate outstanding potential for long-range contribution to the fields of automation and control. The scholarship awards support tuition and related expenses and research activities and initiatives.

To apply you need to submit the application form by 15 February 2006.

ISA awards scholarships from both the ISA Educational Foundation Scholarship fund and funds provided through endowments of generous gifts from supporters. The scholarship program includes awards from the following categories.

  • Educational Foundation Scholarship: Recipients of awards are full-time college or university students in either a graduate, undergraduate, or 2 yr. degree program with at least an overall GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale. Students should be enrolled in a program in automation + control or a closely related field.
  • Chemical and Petroleum Industries Division Scholarship: These funds were provided by the ISA Chemical and Petroleum Industries Division. Preference is given to applicants studying technology related to the Chemical and Petroleum industries. Award amount varies.
  • Pulp & Paper Industry Division Scholarship: These funds were provided by the ISA Pulp & Paper Industry Division. A $1,000 scholarship is awarded to a college student pursuing a career in pulp & paper.
  • ISA Executive Board Scholarship: These funds were provided by past and present members of ISA’s Executive Board. Preference is given to applicants with demonstrated leadership capabilities. Award amount varies. Norman E. Huston Scholarship: These funds were provided by the family of Norman E. Huston. Dr. Huston was a professor at the University of Wisconsin and President of ISA in 1979.
