The Wireless Access Groupinvites applications for two Science Foundation Ireland (SFI) sponsoredPhD studentships in control and systems science applied to the emergingarea of wireless sensor networks for biomedical applications.
The studentships will consider open questions relating to the certifiable use of wireless technology in network control systems where human safety is of paramount importance.
Applicants should have, or expect to obtain, a 1st or 2:1 honoursdegree in Electronic/Computer Engineering or a related discipline andhave an interest in any or all of the following areas:
• Automatic Control
• Wireless technology
• Matlab / Real time Programming
• Mathematics: Optimisation / Measure Theory /Topology
