USA: PhD Student Position at U. Oklahoma Meteorology
A PhD student with experience in programming and formulatingnumerical methods for fluid flow, if possible meteorology, is soughtfor a multi-year NSF-funded project in high order numericalmethods for storm modeling (mesoscale modeling). The researchwill involve Discontinuous Galerkin and Spectral Element methods.
A Master’s degree in Meteorology, Engineering or Mathematics orsignificant equivalent experience is required. Women and Minoritiesare encouraged to apply.
The PhD degree may be taken in Meteorology or other applicable fields.
The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work withscientists from the University of Oklahoma, the National SevereStorms Laboratory and the National Center for AtmosphericResearch. The position is located in Norman, Oklahoma.
