USA: PhD Position in Wildlife Management, Virginia Tech
Ph.D positions is available to begin in August 2007 or January 2008 for the following project.
Responsibilities:
Design and implement field survey to determine who uses state wildlife management areas using remote sensing technology. Conduct follow-up mail survey to determine characteristics of users, recreational activities they engage in and their attitudes and opinions toward land management activities. Facilitate and evaluate stakeholder involvement process leading to development of a statewide land-use management plan for Virginia wildlife management areas. *
Qualifications:
- Required—Completed MS degree. At least one degree in a natural resource management field. GRE scores at or above 50th percentile.
- Desired—Research, coursework or practical experience in human dimensions, forestry.
