The Turbomachinery Research Group (www.osneylab.org.uk) in the Department of Engineering Science seeks to recruit a project student who will work towards a doctoral thesis in the areas of turbine heat transfer and cooling. The position is supported by Rolls-Royce.

The successful applicant will have a strong first degree (1st or 2.1) in mechanical engineering or a related discipline.

Applicants must have good written and oral communications skills.

The starting bursary will be £12,000 in Year 1, rising to £12,600 in Year 3.
