  • If you apply to study with us at postgraduate level here in the Business School you may apply for one of our Gold or Silver scholarships as outlined below.
  • If you are an International student you may alternatively apply for an International Student Scholarship from the University International Office.
  • If you are a resident of Bangladesh, Ghana, India, Indonesia, Pakistan, Malaysia, Phillipines, Sri Lanka, Turkey or the Ukraine you may also wish to opt for one of our ‘tuition fees and accommodation packages’.

Fee reductions for Bangor graduates
If you’re a Bangor University Alumni (either recent graduate or studied with us many years ago) then you’re also eligible for a discount on your fees should you choose to study for your postgraduate qualification with the Bangor Business School. If you’re an International applicant we’ll give you an automatic discount of £1500 on your fees and a £1000 reduction on your fees if you’re based within the EU and study with us in 2007.

Gold and Silver Scholarships
The Bangor Business School (BBS) operates two scholarship schemes, which provide financial support for full-time students on all MSc, MA and MBA programmes (find out more about our postgraduate programmes):

  • BBS Gold Scholarship £5,000 per annum,
  • BBS Silver Scholarship £2,000 per annum.

The number of Gold and Silver Scholarship awards vary from year to year, but normally a small number of Gold Scholarships and a larger number of Silver Scholarships are available. All students are entitled to apply for both types of Scholarships, however students will only receive one award. We do not consider country of origin when determining the recipients of Scholarship awards.

To be eligible to apply for a Scholarship, you must be applying for or have already been offered a place on one of the following taught postgraduate degree programmes:

  • MA / MSc Banking & Finance
  • MA / MSc Finance
  • MA/ MSc Business & Finance
  • MSc International Banking & Development Finance
  • MSc Accounting & Finance
  • MBA Banking & Finance
  • MBA Management

All applicants will be advised by email of the outcome of their application for entry onto an academic programme. Applicants who have been made an offer of entry will receive the Scholarship Application Pack from the Bangor Business School in that same email message. Those who have not provided an email address on the application form will be contacted by letter. The Scholarship Application Pack will include:

  • details of the gold and silver scholarship scheme
  • details of how to apply
  • a scholarship application form

Applicants are required to give details of their academic achievements, personal achievements and give their reasons for applying for a scholarship from the Bangor Business School. Scholarships will be awarded on the strength of applications received. Whilst academic achievement is a key criterion a broad view of each candidate’s academic, work experience and life achievements will be considered.

The deadline for submitting applications is 1st June 2007.
