UK: Postgraduate Research Studentships in Psychology, Leeds Metropolitan University
Applications are invited from students wishing to study for a PhD byresearch, with up to four studentships being offered in relevant areas.Applicants should propose a discrete area of enquiry falling within oneof the following areas.
2 Developmental disabilities and/orrehabilitation neuropsychology with implications for intervention:learning difficulties, behavioural and emotional difficulties, andaspects of rehabilitation neuropsychology. Thesestudentships carry a bursary in excess of £12,000 p.a. (the figure for2005-06 with the level for 2006-07 to be confirmed) plus payment oftuition fees (at rate for home/EU students). Contributions to fees forexceptional overseas (non-EU) students may be judged on a case-by-casebasis. An allowance will also be made to support conference attendanceand/or research expenses. There is a requirement to contribute toteaching in support of developing an academic career. The studentshipsare offered for up to three years subject to satisfactory progresstowards completion of the PhD.
Applicants should have orexpect to gain a good honours degree in Psychology (1st or II.1) and tohave formulated an outline proposal for PhD research.
