In recent years talent management (TM) has emerged as a key HR challenge. Under the imperatives of globalisation internationally operating firms are finding it increasingly important to identify, source and utilize talent from a multiplicity of business cultures. There is also evidence that firms view foreign talent differently from home-grown talent. The challenge of this research project will be to investigate current international talent management practices in major
internationally operating companies, using multidisciplinary approaches with a view to establishing (a) possible recurrent pitfalls; (b) criteria for best practice; (c) contrasting approaches based on cultural factors

Applicants will be required to submit a two-page outline research proposal for their research degree, AND a sample of their written work taken from their previous higher education. (eg chapter from dissertation, or essay) along with their completed application form
