UK: PhD Studentship in Sustainable Development at University of the West of England

This three-year full-time PhD studentship provides the opportunity to workon a multidisciplinary project investigating the relationship between socialbehaviour and the built environment in order to examine and inform thepractice of Avon Fire and Rescue Service (AFRS). The project willinvestigate the experience of residents in a variety of communities in thecity of Bristol and their relationship with AFRS. The project provides theopportunity to work closely with AFRS and will aim to reduce the social andeconomic impacts of fire-related crime and nuisance in the region.
This PhD will be based in the Faculty of the Built Environment at Universityof the West of England, and is funded under the Psychology theme of GreatWestern Research. The project will be supervised by a multidisciplinary teamfrom University of the West of England and the University of Bristol, andwill build on recent research developments in the fields of both Psychologyand the Built Environment.
