UK: PhD Studentship in Oral Health Research at Kings College London
PhD Studentship Statistical Methods in Longitudinal Studies Applied to OralHealth Research, Dental Institute.
Applications are invited for a mathematically minded individual to undertakeresearch leading to a PhD in the area of Statistical Methods in LongitudinalStudies Applied to Oral Health Research under the supervision of Dr. NoraDonaldson and Professor Tim Newton. The use and robustness of these methodswill be evaluated using NHS datasets. You should be educated to degreelevel, ideally in a numerical discipline and with some experience of healthservices research and extensive experience of statistical analysis. AMasters Degree would be an advantage, as would experience of data analysisand statistical modelling. You should have sound IT skills and be proficientin the use of Excel and either SPSS, SAS, Minitab or STATA. Good written andverbal communication skills are essential. The ideal candidate should becommitted to develop his/her career as a specialist ResearchStatistician in Oral Health Studies.
The 3 year studentship is based within the Dental Institute of Kings CollegeLondon, King’s Denmark Hill Campus, London SE5 9RS. It will meet the costsof tuition fees at the Home/EU rate and a stipend linked to MRC rates,currently £14,350 per annum in the first year withincreases in years two and three.
