UK: PhD Studentship in Image Processing and Imaging Sciences, King’s College London

Applications are invited for a PhD studentship in Image Processing within the Interdisciplinary Medical Imaging Group (IMIG), part of the Division of Imaging Sciences at King’s College London.
The IMIG has particular interest in MR and PET imaging and MR guided intervention with a focus on cardiovascular applications. We are currently located at Guy’s Hospital Campus but are soon to relocate to St. Thomas’ Hospital.
The studentship will be supervised by Dr. G.P. Penney who specialises in the use of medical image registration methodology for use in image guided interventions and surgery.
A stipend and fees will be paid at the UK/EU rate.
International students must pay the difference between EU and international fees.
The deadline for applications for this studentship is 31st of May 2007.
Eligability:
Applicants should have a first or upper second degree in a numerate discipline (e.g. computer science, mathematics, physics) and have experience in computer programming (ideally in computer vision or image processing).
