A position exists for a PhD studentship to work on a project relatingto Robust Design Processes. This project will investigate how adesign process can be optimised. The project aim is to developmethods or models that can be used to maximise the chance of designingan adequate product whilst minimising the time / cost of the process.

The project will unite work in the Engineering Design Centre on designprocess modelling and multi-objective optimisation. A particular focusof the work will be to develop an understanding of the impact of thedesign process on the quality of the product. The project is funded by EPSRC.
