The Bartlett School of Planning (BSP) is a research-led planningschool with an internationalreputation offering innovative planning and built environment teachingand researchprogrammes. BSP has recently been awarded a five year grant by theVolvo Research andEducational Foundations (VREF) to establish an international centre ofexcellence to undertakecomparative research in decision-making in the planning, appraisal andevaluation of mega urbantransport projects and their impacts. The research programme will beundertaken incollaboration with nine other university partners in the developedworld in Europe, Australasiaand North America. The Centre - The Global Centre for Mega Projects inTransport andDevelopment (The OMEGA Centre) - will be under the direction ofProfessor Harry T. Dimitriou.The research programme will be formally launched on 1st October 2006.
The Director wishes to award up to three PhD scholarships as from 1stOctober 2006.
