Agent-Based modeling of molecular self-assembly.
We are looking for an enthusiastic candidate to work on the modeling of molecular self-assembly with innovative techniques. This ambitious research project puts together ideas developed for the study of complex systems with more conventional molecular modeling techniques.
The candidates have preferably a MSc level education in Chemistry, Physics or Material Science and are interested in scientific computing, complexity and interdisciplinary science (BSc level candidates will be also considered). Previous experiences in computer programming and molecular modeling (Monte Carlo and/or Molecular Dynamics) are desirable.
Funding is available for EU candidates only (12300 p.a. plus fees) Approximate start date is 1st Jan 2007.More information is available on the group and departmental web sites:
