UK: PhD Research Studentship in Empirical Studies of Software Development at Open University


We are seeking an outstanding graduate to join our PhD programme. Thefull-time studentship includes a stipend of £12,300 per annum and all fees.The Department will support travel to conferences to present publishedresearch papers.

We are particularly seeking students to work in the area of empiricalstudies of software development, especially the human and social aspects ofthe software development process. Applicants areencouraged to contact potential supervisors to discuss their researchproposals before applying. The studentships are available to all applicants,including those from outside the EU.

Applicants should have a BSc honours degree (2:I or higher) or MSc (orequivalent) in Computing or a cognate discipline. In exceptionalcircumstances, candidates who do not meet the stipulated entry requirementsmay also be eligible.
