UK: PhD Position in Nuclear Quadrupole Resonance Signal Processing
PhD Position: Nuclear Quadrupole Resonance Signal Processing, Karlstad University, Sweden
The Center for Control, Signals and Systems at Karlstad University, Sweden, focuses on statistical analysis of both discrete-time and continuous-time signals with the aim of developing efficient, accurate and robust algorithms for a variety of applications. The group is currently looking for an outstanding candidate for a Ph.D. studentship on nuclear quadrupole resonance (NQR) signal processing, starting spring 2006. Candidates should have at least a M.Sc. in Engineering, or equivalent.
The research consists of developing mathematical methods for NQR signal processing related to ongoing projects at the center. The employee will also teach in the undergraduate program. The research project is funded by the Swedish Research Council and Carl Trygger’s Foundation and is a close collaboration with Prof. John Smith, King’s College London, and with Prof. Petre Stoica, Uppsala University.
