UK: Master Scholarships for Peace and Reconciliation Studies

The Centre for Peace and Reconciliation Studies at Coventry Universityin England is offering eight scholarships to overseas (non-EuropeanUnion, or EU) students for their one-year Master’s programme in Peaceand Reconciliation Studies. The scholarship will cover the tuition fees,valued at £8500, and recipients will be responsible for securing fundsfor subsistence and accommodation. It is meant to support the highereducation of people from low income countries outside the EU; that is,applicants from the United States, Japan, and so on will not be eligible.
The aim of the MA in Peace and Reconciliation Studies is to “enablestudents to develop the knowledge and skill base necessary to understandthe linkages between the different levels of destructive conflict in theworld, to understand the theory and practice of peace-making andpeace-building at the various levels, and to evaluate alternative modesof action and intervention in the attempt to transform violent anddestructive conflict along non-violent and constructive channels.”
