UK: MA Scholarships at The Faculty of Arts and Humanities Durham University


The Faculty of Arts and Humanities is making available ten M.A. Scholarshipsto support students planning to start ‘taught’ or ‘research’ M.A. programmesin October 2007. The Scholarships fully fund fees at the full-time UK/EUrate (currently £3,168), but the Faculty welcomes applications from overseasstudents as well as from UK and other EU students. The M.A. ScholarshipsScheme covers ‘taught’ and ‘research’ programmes in all of the followingdepartments:

If you are planning to study for an M.A., full-time, next academic year, andyou are seriously interested in the possibility of studying for a Ph.D.after you have completed your programme, you are eligible to apply for anM.A. Scholarship.

To apply for a Scholarship, you must complete a short application form,which you can download here in either PDF or word format. You must sendthe completed form to the Department or School no later than Friday 9thMarch 2007.

If the Department or School nominates you for a Scholarship, you willreceive a letter from the Dean’s Office, notifying you of the outcome of theprocedure, in the second half of April.

Please note that if you are a UK or EU student, and you are nominated for anM.A. Scholarship by the Department or School, you will be required to submitan application for M.A. funding to the Arts and Humanities Research Council.
