UK: Four PhD Studentships in Concrete Technology
The CTU is entering a period of expansion and has openings for up to four higher degree students wishing to further their career by studying towards a PhD degree in a world-class research environment. Research opportunities are available in a number of areas of concrete technology, but particularly for the development of concrete and cementitious systems that will contribute towards sustainable construction and urban developments, including work on: foamed concrete systems, recycled aggregates, and alkali-silica reactions.
The Studentship covers full tuition fees and a subsistence allowance. Applicants should have a good first degree in a relevant discipline such as: civil engineering, chemistry, material sciences or geology. A good standard of written/spoken English and communication skills are required. The applicant must be computer literate and show an aptitude for focused self-directed learning.
