UCL Graduate School Research Scholarships
Up to 22 UCL (University of College London) Graduate School Research Scholarships are available to prospective MPhil/PhD students from any country, accepted for full-time or part-time MPhil/PhD research in any department at UCL, and holding or expecting to achieve a UK first-class Honours undergraduate degree or equivalent. First-year MPhil/PhD candidates who have registered on or after the previous scholarship deadline may also apply.
The awards include a £3,000 fee deduction plus maintenance of £14,000 per annum (full-time) for years 1, 2 and 3 of the MPhil / PhD programme.

Overseas fee-payers are strongly advised to apply for an Overseas Research Student (ORS) Award, which can be held together with a Graduate School Research Scholarships. Priority will be given to overseas applicants who have submitted an ORS application. The UCL ORS deadline is 1 February.
Selection Criteria
Awards are made on the basis of applicants’ academic excellence and research potential using information provided in the scholarship application and the applicants admissions application (UCL graduate application forms are available online at www.ucl.ac.uk/prospective-students/graduate-study).Application Procedure

Application Deadline
Scholarship applications must be received by UCL Entrance Scholarships no later than 1st April. Late applications will not be considered.
Please ensure you apply for graduate admission at least 4 weeks in advance of the scholarship deadline.
Selection Procedure
The UCL Selection Panel meets in June and candidates will be notified of the outcome of the selection in July.
