The Asian Scholarship Foundation (ASF) aims to increase overall awareness of the intellectual resources in the countries of South and Southeast Asia, and the People’s Republic of China. ASF seeks to establish a multi-national network of Asian specialists in Asia who will foster the development of Asian Studies within existing area studies communities.
ASF, which is based in Bangkok, Thailand, is an Asian-led non-profit organization funded by a grant from the Ford Foundation. It administers the ASIA Fellows Awards as well as other grants with assistance from its partner institutions in Beijing, Jakarta, Hanoi, Manila and New Delhi.

Deadlines for application
Complete application forms with all the required supporting documents must be submitted to the ASF Bangkok on the stated deadlines given below. The affiliate offices in Beijing and New Delhi, or its partner offices in Hanoi, Jakarta and Manila, will accept applications for the ASIA Fellows Awards only, and depending on where the applicant lives. The application deadlines are:
