| Havean undergraduate degree from a recognized university with above averagegrades (eg GPA of 3 out of 4 or First Class Pass or First Class Honours. | ||
| Havea four year Engineering degree with above average grades from arecognized university, if applying for the Master of EngineeringStudies. | ||
| Provideevidence of two years work experience and the latest income tax return(an official letter from an employer may be accepted in cases where anincome tax return is not available). | ||
YourADB-JSP application will only be considered, if you gain unconditionalentry to one of the above degree programs prior to the ADB-JSPapplication deadline. If your entry is subject to English languageproficiency or academic documention, you must provide all requireddocuments before the ADB-JSP scholarship deadline.
No applicantwill be allowed to apply for the ADB-JSP scholarship more than threetimes. Previously unsuccessful applicants must wait one year beforere-applying.
ADB-JSP Application deadlines
Closing date for applications starting in July 2006 is 31 October 2005.
Closing date for applications starting in March 2007 is 30 April 2006.

| Preferencewill be given to applicants from smaller ADB DMCs which have hadlimited numbers of scholarships awarded in the past. These include:Central Asian Republics, Greater Mekong Sub-Region, Afghanistan,Bhutan, Mongolia, Myanmar and the Pacific and South Pacific islandnations. | ||
| Lowerpriority will be given to applicants from countries such as People'sRepublic of China, Philippines, India, Malaysia, Nepal, Pakistan, SriLanka, Bangladesh, Indonesia, Vietnam, Thailand. | ||
| Applicantsfrom non-borrowing countries such as Korea, Hong Kong China, Singaporeand Taipei China are not eligible for the ADB-JSP scholarship. | ||
| Preference will be given to female candidates. | ||
| Preference will be given to applicants who are academics or public servants (minimum of two years work experience is essential). | ||
| Lower priority will be given to applicants who have previously studied abroad. | ||
| Lower priority will be given to applicants who are pursuing a second Master's or a second PhD degree program. | ||

Competitionfor an ADB-JSP scholarship is extremely strong, only candidates whogain entry to the University postgraduate programs unconditionally willbe considered for the ADB-JSP scholarship.
