The Trust is a twenty-year old foundation with broad educational aims.Preference has been given to work in women's studies and the social andcultural sciences * especially Sociology * as well as health-relatedtopics.  A limited number of small grants of up to £1,000 are availablethis year.  We would like to receive proposals for projects on womenand religion in the contemporary world.  Areas of concern could be, butare not limited to the following: fundamentalisms, civil liberties,citizenship rights, and public/institutional life.  We welcomeproposals that have some practical engagement with the subject of theresearch and which would be of benefit to user groups.

There is noapplication form. Please apply in writing (script to be word-processed,3 copies of all materials supplied) to the Trustees giving your name,address, e-mail, telephone number and a CV.  Set out the objectives ofyour work and concisely make the case for the grant to be awarded toyou on not more than four sides of A4 in 12 point font.  Ask onerelevant referee to provide a reference in a sealed envelope and supplythe name of a second referee in case the Trustees should seek to pursueit.Grants will not be given for course fees or conferences and theTrust is geared to supporting the work of Ph.D. students rather thanestablished scholars.

Complete applications should contain threecopies of:·     A covering letter briefly explaining why funds areneeded and how the proposal relates to the theme of women andreligion.·      A brief CV to include your address, telephone contactnumbers and, if possible, an email address.·      An academic referencein a sealed envelope.·       A proposal of not more than 4 sides of A4,including a budget.
