1) International Graduate Program of Computer Science and Information Engineering (Master Program)
Program Overview
This MS graduate program is designed specifically for foreign students. All of the offered courses will be taught in English. Financial support includes tuition waiver, fellowship, and research assistantship. The program offers a wide spectrum of the current computer science and information technology, emphasizing both theory and practice. After completion, the students will be ready for significant computer-related careers and simultaneously for further
graduate study.

Qualifications and Applications
- Number of Students: 15 - 20
- All applicants must have a bachelor’s degree or its equivalent in
Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or other related fields from
an accredited institution by August 2007. - Only application documents are required. No exam or interview is
needed. - Application deadline: April 30, 2007
- Application fee: None.
- When submitting an application, the following documents are required:
- Application form
- Study Plan
- Official academic records (e.g., diplomas and transcripts) from each
undergraduate or post graduate institution you have attended - Two letters of recommendation
- Score of GRE (Graduate Record Examination) General Test
- Score of TOFEL (Test of English as a Foreign Language) is required
for applicants whose native language is not English.
Other supporting documents such as the score of GRE Subject Test,
research reports, and awards may be submitted as well.

2) International Graduate Program of Institute of Mechanical and Electrical Engineering (Master and Ph. D. Program)
Program Overview
The International Graduate Program of Institute of Mechanical and Electrical Engineering (MEE) is designed specifically for foreign students. The range of study opportunities covers Master’s and Ph.D levels. All the offered courses will be taught in English. Financial support, including tuition waiver, fellowship, and research assistantship will be granted. The program aims to provide vocational development for potential engineers and researchers. The study focuses
on the practical advanced, current needs and future aspirations high technologies of industries, which are the area of Mechatronic, Manufacturing, Energy, Refrigeration, Automation and Vehicle Engineering.

Qualifications and Applications
- Program size: 15 to 20 foreign students in the program (Ph.D + MSc).
(1) Ph.D. programs:
Applicants must be graduates of relevant departments of universities or independent colleges who have received a M.S. (Master of Science) degree or academic credentials equivalent to a M.S. degree in Mechanical or Electrical engineering or other equivalent academic fields.(2) Master programs:
Applicants must be graduates of relevant departments of universities or independent colleges who have received a bachelor’s degree or people with academic credentials equivalent to a bachelor’s degree. In either case, applicants must pass an examination to enter a master’s
program. - Only application documents are required. No exam or interview is needed.

Financial Aids:
- Tuition is waived for the first year.
- Fellowship of $10,000 NT (approximately $320 USD) per month is granted for the first year.
- After the first year, fellowship, research assistantship and teaching assistantship will be granted based on the academic record and research achievement.
