Switzerland: PhD Studentship in Computational Linguistics at the University of Zurich
The Institute of Computational Linguistics at the University of Zurich,Switzerland, invites applications for a research studentship inComputationalLinguistics.
The successful candidate will work on the use of constraint basedtechniques insyntax parsing and logical form generation, on the general background ofQuestion Answering and Answer Extraction.
We are looking for candidates with a good honours degree in ComputationalLinguistics or Computer Science, with good programming skills and,ideally, withspecific knowledge in the domain of CLP applications in NLP.
The successful candidate must start the studentship before or on April 1st,2006. Duration: Initially 2 years. Current value of bursary approx. CHF34′000/y.
