Sweden: PhD Students within the Center for Industrial and Applied Mathematics at KTH
PhD students within the Center for Industrial and Applied Mathematics (CIAM) The Center for Industrial and Applied Mathematics (CIAM) at KTH is a strategic center, funded by the Swedish Foundation for Strategic Research, for mathematics with industrial relevance. Within CIAM’s frame we now announce up to five PhD student positions. The research within CIAM is carried out in a wide spectrum. The projects in CIAM are of high industrial and applied relevance, and are in many cases carried out jointly with industrial companies. See www.ciam.kth.se for more information.
The admitted candidates will become PhD students in mathematics, mathematical statistics, optimization and systems theory, numerical analysis or computer science. State in yourapplication which subject you are most interested in.
Qualifications
The candidate should hold the degree of Master of Science in Engineering Physics, Computer Engineering, Vehicle Engineering, or other university degree with mathematical profile.
To diversify its competence, KTH aims to employ a diversity of talent and thus welcomes applicants who will add to the variety of the University, especially as concerns its gender structure.
Employment
The position is intended for pursuing individual doctoral studies. The position will include 80% research and 20% teaching assistance. The salary is based on the existing employment agreement for PhD position.
