PhD Position in Numerical Analysis at The Royal Institute of Technology (KTH), Stockholm, Sweden

The Royal Institute of Technology (KTH) hereby announces one PhD position in Numerical Analysis, for the development of new methods to simulate complicated processes in fluid dynamics. The numerical analysis group offers a strong research environment with research mainly focused on the numerical solution of differential equations for many different applications. This research project will be focused on developing numerical methods for systems with dynamic geometries within fluid mechanics. Examples of such systems are those with time-dependent interfaces that are separating different phases or materials, such as bubbly flows, immiscible fluids consisting of oil and water in oil reservoirs, or fiber suspensions as in paper and pulp manufacturing.
