Scholarship Description
Scholarships are awarded for one year in the first instance and will berenewed subject to satisfactory performance.The normal qualification required of candidates for scholarships is aPh.D degree, or it's equivalent, in an appropriate and relevantsubject. Scholarships may also be awarded to candidates holding anhonours degree, or it's equivalent, provided they can produce evidenceof capacity for original research.Scholarship incomes depend on the degree level. Can range from IR 5,500to 9,020.Seperate rates apply in the School of Theoretical Physics within therange of Euro 13,000 to 20,000. DIAS scholarships are normally taxfree. The closing date for School of Theoretical Physics scholarshipswas 16th January in 2004 - the 2005 date is an estimate only and willbe confirmed on this site in late 2004. The closing date for CelticStudies scholarships is 1st March annually.To be undertaken at non-Australian institutions.

This scholarship is for study in Ireland.There are no restrictions on citizenship.
