Opening position for M.S./Ph.D. students in Mechanics of Materials Lab. at Chonnam National university in Republic of Korea

We are looking for prospective M.S./Ph.D. students who has interests in a research topic, ‘Construction of Optical X-ray System for Nondestructive Evaluation’ which is co-worked with ‘Institute of Theoretical and Applied Mechanics of the Czech Academy of Sciences’.

Students who have knowledge in Solid mechanics, Microfabrication process, Finite element method, and Characteristics of X-ray will be welcomed.

Also, some experiences about X-ray mirrors, tomographic images, 3D reconstruction using the tomographic images, geometric modeling, biomechanics related to biological materials will be helpful for this research.

Scholarship from our project fund is 900,000 Korean Won/Month for Ph.D. and 600,000 Korean Won/Month for M.S., respectively.

Depending on the TOEIC score (Minimum PBT 527 points, CBT 197 points, IBT 71 points, IELTS 6.0), tuition fee can be exempted.

Depending on the publication results and coursework grade, BK21 Scholarship of our School (900,000 Korean Won/Month for Ph.D. and 600,000 Korean Won/Month for M.S.) is additionally awarded (need to overcome the harsh competition).
