RECTOR’S FELLOWSHIP, MBA 2005, IIU Malaysia
The Management Centre, IIUM is pleased to introduce the Rector'sFellowship which provides the means for outstanding students to receivefull scholarship and monthly stipends while enrolled in the MBAprogramme. The objective of the Fellowship programme is to attractoutstanding scholars to undertake their studies at the ManagementCentre.
To be eligible, candidates must enroll as full-time students and will be required to undertake the thesis option.
2. Details of the Fellowship
The details are as follows:
- Open to full-time students (Malaysian and International).
- For international applications, the applicant must be a Muslim.
- Full-waiver of tuition fees.
- Monthly stipend of RM1000.00.
- Book allowance of RM250.00 per semester.
- Return airfare for international students for one trip only.
- On-campus accommodation (for unmarried students only).
Qualification and Selection Criteria
The following criteria will be necessary for successful candidates:
- Outstanding academic track record with minimum CGPA of 3.50 or its equivalent at the undergraduate level .
- Demonstrate proficiency in English language and mathematics.
- Demonstrate leadership potential and impressive co-curriculum record.
- The applicant has not received any financial assistance from any other sponsoring bodies.
- Preference will be given to those with work experience.
Duration of the Fellowship
- The scholarship will be granted for the period needed to complete thenumber of units required for the program applied. For the Rector'sFellowship, it will be based on a fulltime study workload.
- Any extension of the time period of the SCHOLARSHIP is subject to theprogress report and approval of the Director of the Management Centre.
Duties of Recipients and Status of the Scheme
- Recipients of the Rector's Fellowship will be required to perform workfor the Management Centre. Recipients would be assigned 10 - 15 hoursof work per week.
- Therecipient's status is the same as other full-time postgraduate studentsand is not considered an employee of the University.
- There will be no annual leave, study leave or sabbatical leave granted.However, in special cases, leave may be granted upon approval by theDirector of Management Centre.
- The recipients MUST adhere to the rules and regulations for postgraduate students as stipulated by the University.
- The recipients MUST adhere to the rules and policies of the award and terms of agreement as stated in the agreement booklet.
- Adherence to (4) and (5) includes adherence to the Islamic dress code for Muslim recipients of the award.
