Postgraduate Research Studentship
The Department of Applied Social Science (DASS) at the University of
Stirling invites applications for a full-time Postgraduate Research
Studentship which is being funded by the Scottish Centre for Social
Research.
The proposed research should have an applied policy relevance to
Scotland and a strong methodological dimension (either qualitative or
quantitative).
Proposals in any of the following areas would be welcome:
*health;
*civil and criminal justice;
*children and families;
*attitudes and identities;
*exclusion and social justice.

It is envisaged the studentship will begin no later than 1st October
2005, for three years. The successful candidate will have their fees
paid for three years and receive a stipend of c. 」12, 000. Candidates
should have a good 2:1 degree or equivalent in a social science subject.
Prior research training through a Masters degree will be an advantage.
