The Faculty of Health and Human Sciences at TVU is one of the largest providers of nursing, midwifery and healthcare programmes in the country. The Centre for Complementary Healthcare and Integrated Medicine currently offers a variety of courses in Complementary Medicine. Our strategy is to expand our research by building on our existing strengths in nutrition and naturopathy.

Applications are invited for a PhD Student/Tutorial Assistant from graduates with at least a 2(i) Class Honours degree (or equivalent overseas qualification) preferably in a health related field with a strong interest in nutritional medicine from the complementary health and naturopathic philosophical standpoint.

You will receive a salary for three years with a possible extension for a fourth year and your tuition fees will be waived.

You will be expected to:
* undertake a full-time PhD programme of research into an aspect of nutritional medicine under the supervision of Prof. Nicola Robinson
* undertake teaching and tutorials and marking of students’ work during the teaching year up to a maximum of six hours per week.
