Job description


Theresearch project aims at the determination of the marine geoid onregional scales by constraining a shallow-water hydrodynamic model within-situ hydrographic data, radar altimetry data, and terrestrial andairborne gravity data. The project is offered in co-operation with theWater Research Centre at Delft University of Technology.
Requirements

Required education/skills:University Graduate
Candidatesare expected to have a university degree (MSc) in geodesy, geophysics,oceanography, aerospace engineering, physics or applied mathematics.Experience with the application of mathematical, statistical andcomputational tools to Engineering problems, software development(Fortran, C++, …) and data processing is preferable. The chosencandidate will be an enthusiastic person with good communicativeskills, expecially in written and spoken English. He or she must beopen-minded and capable of working independently and in a small team.
