A number of Full and Partly funded Research scholarships are available from September 2005
Full scholarships £9,400 per year plus tuition feesPart-scholarships Tuition fees onlyCandidates should have first class, 2.1 or equivalent degree or Masters in Computer Science or Engineering.
Scholarships are available in the following areas:Knowledge Management through Enterprise Architecture: experience in IT systems development preferably in a business environment is desirable. A willingness to work with industrial partners is essential. Reference No: IKM05
Digital Signal/image or video processing, Augmented or virtual reality, Computer graphics & Mobile computing. The work involves developing innovative products. Reference No: DPT05
Decision Support for Diagnostic Imaging: solid knowledge of image processing and artificial intelligence is desirable. Reference No: IKMDPT05
Electronic Devices and Power Technology, specific areas include Power Electronic Systems for interfacing wind farms to the utility grid and Modelling of High Power Thyristors for utility applications. Reference No: EDPT05
Mobile Computing and Distributed Systems including the following areas: Networks and Control, Mobile Computing/Technology, Application of AI and Mobile Computing in Decision Making, Supply Chain Management and Health Care systems, Modelling, Scheduling, Control and Simulations of Discrete Event Dynamics Systems, a Fundamental Framework for the Study of Networked Control Systems.
