PhD Research Studentship in Mechanical Engineering
A number of PhD research studentships are available in theDepartment of Mechanical and Design Engineering, University ofPortsmouth, where active research is pursued in the following areastowards RAE2008:
- Aerospace materials modelling
- Bioengineering
- Nano-technology
- Advanced manufacturing engineering
Applications are invited from suitably qualified graduates with degrees(2:1 and above) in any of the following disciplines: MechanicalEngineering, Materials Engineering, Solid Mechanics and AppliedMathematics. Applicants must be highly motivated. Strong analytical andcomputational background would be of an advantage for the areas1&2. Successful applicants will receive a basic tax-free stipend of12k, plus tuition fees at the UK/EU student rate.
