University of Twente
Job description
We aim to study communication strategiesbetween microelectronics and novel nanoelectronic devices (such asnanoscopic magnetic memories or single molecules with electronicfunctions). To this means, special microchips will be developed (by ICdesign, in-house and external chip manufacturing, and in-house testing)that act as a smart substrate for nanoelectronic devices.
This project will be carried out in close collaboration with the groupsIntegrated Circuit Design, Systems and Materials for InformationStorage and Materials Science and Technology of Polymers. It is fundedby MESA+ within the Strategic Research Orientation NanoElectronics.
The ideal candidate for this project is an electrical engineer withknowledge on integrated circuit design and integrated circuittechnology. Furthermore the candidate must have good communicationskills and fluent English.
Additional information about the group of Semiconductor Components canbe found on www.sc.el.utwente.nl/ and on www.icd.el.utwente.nl/ for theIC Design group.
