4 Year Rotation Studentships
This prestigious multidisciplinary PhD programme is designed to attract outstanding applicants with excellent academic records who show potential for research at the highest level. Special features of the Programme include three research rotations in the first year and a general empowerment of student choice in the selection of both research topics and supervisors. Students can gain experience from a wide range of experimental approaches from plant and microbial genetics, genomics and cell biology through to molecular biology, biological chemistry and computational biology.

This 4 yr PhD Programme is open to students from any country. Six studentships are available commencing October 2005, and the successful applicants will benefit from a significantly enhanced stipend of �15,000 to reflect the prestige and prominence attached to this programme. The closing date for applications is 17th January 2005 with interviews to be held in early February.

4 Year Project and 3 Year (Fast Track) Studentships
We also offer studentships on specific projects in the research areas listed below. These studentships are mainly open to EU (fees-only) and UK graduates. Please apply (via our website) as soon as possible with a detailed description of your research interests. Applicants will then be sent a list of projects commencing October 2005.
