| Withinthe framework of the Marie Curie Research Training NetworkSUPERGREENCHEM a PhD position at the Georg-August-University Goettingenin the group of Prof. Dr. Michael Buback is offered. The projectfocuses on fluid-phase polymerizations using supercritical carbondioxide as the reaction medium for the synthesis of copolymer materialsfor coatings applications. The reactions will be carried out in batchand in a continuous mode. In order to optimize product properties andprocess conditions, polymer synthesis is accompanied by modeling. Thekinetic parameters required for reliable modeling will be deduced frompulsed-laser techniques, time-resolved in-line spectroscopy and severalpolymer characterization methods (SEC, NMR, DSC, ESI-MS, MALDI, etc.).A background in polymer chemistry, polymer reaction engineering or insupercritical fluid-phase processes is advantageous, but not required.
TheMarie Curie Research Training Network requires that the candidate doesnot have German Nationality, with a maximum stay of 12 months inGermany prior to starting the project.
