The Communications Systems Group was established at TU
Darmstadt in April 2005. It is headed by Prof. Dr.
Alex Gershman.

Our research spans communications and signal
processing, and  involves the following topics:

- adaptive beamforming and smart antennas;
- high-resolution sensor array processing
- MIMO and multi-antenna communications, space-time
coding;
- multiuser and multicarrier communications;
- convex optimization algorithms for signal
processing and communications;
- statistical signal processing;
- spectral analysis;
- parameter estimation and detection theory;
- physics-based sensor array processing;
- signal processing for radar, sonar, and seismology

Positions Offered:

We offer employment opportunities (as Ph.D. candidates
of post-doctoral researchers) to strongly motivated,
enthusiastic researchers with a solid background in
math, probability and statistics, signal processing,
information theory, and wireless communications.
