This scholarship offers support for postgraduate research training in various Science, Engineering and Biomedical Science disciplines.

• Candidates with a First Class Honours degree or a GPA of 3.8 andabove from US universities or a CAP of 4.5 and above from localuniversities in relevant disciplines will be considered
• Applicants should have gained or be in the process of gaining admission into a top overseas university for Science and Engineering or Biomedical Sciences
• Preference will be given to those with a strong interest in a research career
• Graduate Record Exam (GRE) tests with a minimum score of 1400 for verbal + quantitative and 4.5 for analytical writing
• Open to Singaporeans, Singapore Permanent Residents and ASEAN Nationals*

* Successful candidates who are not Singapore Citizens are expected to take up Singapore Citizenship

Successful candidates will be given support for up to 5 years of postgraduate studies.

• Monthly sustenance allowance
• Monthly overseas allowance
• Annual return airfare
• Computer allowance
• Warm clothing and settling-in allowance

**All rates/allowances vary according to country and university, and are subject to A*STAR adjustments from time to time

Upon completion, candidates will return to contribute to A*STAR research institutes in Singapore for 4 years.
