Scholarship Description

Each year the University offers about 210 new Melbourne ResearchScholarships (MRSs), of which about 90 are normally awarded tointernational students. MRSs awarded to international students arecalled Melbourne International Research Scholarships (MIRSs). Eachfaculty has a limited number to award.The MIRS provides a living allowance of $17,915 per annum (2004 rate)and other benefits such as a thesis allowance. The value is reviewedannually. Both commencing and currently enrolled international researchhigher degree students may apply.The applicant must have an unconditional offer of admission. Thescholarship is available to citizens of any country OTHER THANAustralia and New Zealand.To be undertaken at The University of Melbourne.

Payment Information

The value of this scholarship is AUD17915 (per annum).This award is to be used for living expenses.This scholarship is paid fortnightly for the period of 2 years if masters or 3 years if PhD.
