Italy: PhD Studentships in Medical Nanotechnology, European School of Molecular Medicine (SEMM)
The goal of this PhD course is the training of high-tier scientists able to develop novel diagnostic and therapeutic methods and solutions based on nanotechnology. The target is the training of experts managing and governing the scientific and technological evolution that will take place at the crossroad of different disciplines towards clinical applications. These experts will play a key role in research and management positions in academic research centres, in clinical centres of excellence, in bio and nanotechnological industries.

Cell Arrays, Micro and Nanopatterning, Drug delivery, Hybrid Bio/Artificial Interfaces, Single molecule interactions, Nanosensors, Imaging technologies, Microarrays and Biochips
Training activities:
Courses: Courses are provisioned during the first three years and include basic, specialized and science management courses.
Seminars: In the context of training activity, the school sites promote a high-tier program of scientific seminars presented by international acclaimed speakers.
Fellowship:
For the entire duration of the PhD course, the students will be supported either by SEMM fellowships or outside grants. The total amount of the fellowship is 18.500. From the indicated amount will be detracted social and pension contributions as well as Italian taxes. The detractions are variable and approximately estimated around 25% of the total amount. Any tuition fee is covered by SEMM.
