Italy: PhD Fellowships in Economics, University of Milan
The Graduate School in Social, Economic and Political Sciences of theUniversity of Milan offers 5 scholarships to attend the Ph.D. Programmein Economics. The amount of each scholarship is approximately 10,500 €per year.
The aim of the Ph.D. programme in Economics is to provide advancedtraining in both economic theory and applied economics for high levelresearch in the field. The duration of the doctoral programme is threeyears and can be extended up to four years. The first year is chieflydevoted to the core courses in quantitative methods, microeconomics andmacroeconomics. During the second year students are encouraged to spenda period as visiting scholars abroad (at present, the programme’sforeign partners are: Boston College, U.S.A.; Leicester University,U.K.; Queen Mary, University of London, U.K.; York University, U.K.;Université Catholique de Louvain, Belgique).
