10 research scholarship for foreign students to attend DoctoralSchools. Scholarships are fully funded by Fondazione Cassa diRisparmio di Padova e Rovigo. Doctoral courses will last 3 years,starting on 2nd January 2007 and ending 31st December 2009.

Doctoral students must carry out the activities pertinent to theirapproved research studies and, at the end of each year, they mustpresent a report regarding the performed activities and research tothe Doctorate School Council. At the end of the 3-year programmes,they will also have to present a Doctorate thesis with originalcontributions. The degree of Dottore di ricerca is attained once thefinal exam has been passed. This exam can be repeated, but once only.This exam consists of a discussion with the candidate on his/herthesis.

Benefits
The amount of the scholarship is 10,561EUR per year. The amount ofthe scholarship is increased by 50% for periods of study abroadexcluding the official country of residence.

Full board and lodging are offered at the ESU Azienda Regionale peril Diritto allo Studio Universitario. The connected charges will becovered by the Università degli Studi di Padova through theFondazione Cassa di Risparmio di Padova e Rovigo.

Applicants are required to meet the following criteria in order to beeligible:
- To have foreign (non-Italian) citizenship;
- To have foreign (non-Italian) residence.

Required Education:
Certificate of a foreign (non-Italian) academic qualificationacknowledged as equivalent to the Diploma di Laurea/ LaureaSpecialistica/Magistrale (at least four years full time universityeducation). The equivalence of the academic degree will be decided bythe Council of the Doctoral School for the sole purpose of thiscompetition.
