For the Masters in e-Business and ICT for Management, Wireless Systemsand Related Technologies, Optical Communications and PhotonicTechnologies, Navigation and Related Applications, Politecnico diTorino extends the TOPMED projects scholarships programme to citizensfrom: China, India, Indonesia, Thailand and Vietnam.

The amount of the ASIAN scholarship is 22,000 gross for the completeperiod. This amount of money is comprehensive of the 8.000 € that haveto be paid by the student for the tuition fee. ASIAN scholarships will not include travel expenses and accommodationcosts, which will thus totally be at the expense of the student.In order to apply for a Master through Asian Countries Scholarship please remind these deadlines:
    * application form on-line: May 26th, 2006; 4 p.m.
    * selection outcomes: June 12th, 2006
    * master acceptance declaration: June 19th, 2006
    * original documentation receipt: June 28th, 2006
    * final ranking publication: June 30th, 2006

Politecnico di Torino does not guarantee ASIAN students any sort ofaccommodation. However, the Politecnico undertakes to find temporarysolutions in order to lodge students from the moment of their arrivaluntil they find permanent accommodations.
Please note that in the private sector, the initial sum asked asdeposit when renting an apartment equals three monthly payments, towhich must be added a possible estate agency's fee. The rough cost ofan apartment shared with other students is Euro 250/month, while theaverage rent of small/medium-sized apartments about Euro 500.

Politecnico di Torino does not cover health insurance. Emergency Healthinsurance for non-EU citizens is by law around 80 Euros/year. Thisinsurance must be paid on arrival in Italy at INA Assitalia and isrequired to obtain the residence permit.

The scholarship may be withdrawn if the performances of the student arenot satisfactory. Payment of the scholarship occurs periodically. Thefirst payment will be subordinated to the possession of valid documents(residence permit, codice fiscale, bank account opened in the grantee'sname), which can be obtained once in Italy; this is why the firstpayment does not occur on arrival at the Politecnico di Torino but atleast one month after the arrival.
