Fees and stipends
PhD scholarships may be made available which cover fees (for EU students) and an annual tax free stipend of €16,000. Some of these scholarships will require a separate application procedure for an individual scholarship to IRCSET (www.ircset.ie) in July. Currently, our procedure is that initially you apply to us. If you are selected for a particular project, you then may be offered a scholarship that is already funded: alternatively you will then apply to IRCSET for funding to support that particular project.
Closing Dates 2007
Applicants from EU or countries not requiring visitors visa to enter Republic of Ireland: May 31st 2007
Applicants from areas outside EU requiring visitors visa to enter Republic of Ireland: as soon as possible, since recruitment and decision making may require attending scheduled interviews, and visa will need to be in place prior to this.
We also welcome applications outside of this deadline, which may also be considered for PhD positions arising.
For those called to interview, the provisional date is 26th June 2007.
PhD projects will commence on 1 Sept 2007 or 1st Oct 2007.
